NASHVILLE — The National Association of REALTORS® has appointed Richard Courtney Political Involvement Committee Coordinator for Tennessee, announced Robert McMillan, the National Association of REALTORS® 2004 Political Involvement Committee Chairman.

In this volunteer leadership role, Courtney serves as the state representative of all NAR Congressional Contacts and their team members in Tennessee. “We are delighted to have Richard agree to serve as the PIC Representative for Tennessee,” said McMillan. “Our program is new and growing and Richard brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the position.”

Courtney is a 26-year real estate veteran and a broker at Fridrich & Clark Realty LLC and serves as director of Fridrich & Clark’s affordable housing division. He serves as NAR’s Federal District Coordinator assigned to Congressman Jim Cooper. He is on the board of directors of both the Tennessee Association of REALTORS® and the Greater Nashville Association of REALTORS®, where he holds the office of vice president. Courtney has been awarded GNAR’s Gold Lifetime Award of Excellence, was chairman of the GNAR RPAC Committee, RPAC trustee for TAR, and was honored with the 2003 GNAR President’s Award. He has provided expert real estate commentary for Nashville print and electronic media and received national acclaim for his book, “Buyers Are Liars And Sellers Are Too.”
