Richard Courtney Receives President’s Award from Greater Nashville Association of Realtors; Logs Record Year in Community and Professional Service
NASHVILLE — December 23, 2003 — Richard Courtney, a 25-year real estate veteran and a broker at Fridrich & Clark Realty LLC, has received the President’s Award from the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors, announced Steve Fridrich, principal broker of Fridrich & Clark Realty LLC. The award was presented last week to Courtney by outgoing GNAR president John Gifford for Courtney’s outstanding level of service to GNAR in 2003, specifically for spearheading the organization’s involvement in affordable housing.
“ It was my pleasure to select Richard Courtney as the recipient for the GNAR President’s Award this year,” said Gifford. “It is important to note that this award is not given every year. It is only given when a member distinguishes their service to the association in an exceptional way. Richard Courtney did just that, with his leadership of our involvement in affordable housing issues, both in the community and with the members of the association. And, he provided the same kind of leadership in our legislative affairs and political action committee fundraising efforts. We are fortunate to have him as a member and leader in GNAR.”
“ Richard is such a dedicated professional, and his service to GNAR this year, as well as to the state and national associations, has been unbelievable,” said Fridrich. “In addition to his work with GNAR, he was named Federal District Coordinator for Congressman Jim Cooper, served on Mayor Purcell’s Working Group on Affordable Housing, and was named director of Fridrich & Clark’s new affordable housing division. It’s tough to balance a busy real estate practice and also give back to your community – but Richard is one of those rare individuals who excels in both areas.”
