ABOUT RICHARD COURTNEY
Richard Courtney is a 26-year real estate veteran and managing broker at Fridrich & Clark Realty on Music Row in Nashville. He wrote Buyers Are Liars based on knowledge gained from the sale of more than 850 properties over the course of his career.
Courtney is a Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager, Certified Residential Specialist, and Accredited Buyer Representative. He serves on the boards of the National Association of REALTORS®, the Tennessee Association of REALTORS and the Greater Nashville Association of REALTORS, where he is president-elect. He also serves as the NAR Federal District Coordinator to Congressman Jim Cooper and the Realtors Political Involvement Committee representative for Tennessee.
Courtney holds the Lifetime Award of Excellence from the Greater Nashville Association of REALTORS, was honored by the organization as REALTOR of the Year for 2004, and was voted “Best Realtor” by Nashville Scene readers in 2005.He writes a weekly real estate column for the Nashville City Paper.
